Death of former NHL ice hockey player Konstantin Koltsov ruled an apparent suicide
Konstantin Koltsov, the ex-partner of tennis player Aryna Sabalenka, has died at the age of 42.
The death of former NHL ice hockey player Konstantin Koltsov is being treated as an apparent suicide, according to reports. Koltsov, 42, was found dead at his home in Minsk, Belarus, on Monday.
Koltsov played in the NHL for the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Edmonton Oilers during his career. He also represented Belarus at the international level.
Koltsov and Sabalenka, the Australian Open champion, had been in a relationship for several years. They broke up in 2021.
The circumstances surrounding Koltsov's death are still under investigation.
